Etching Factory’s core guards are made of high-strength 0.8-mm SUS304 plates.
We use a special kind of etching to manufacture core guards from these stainless-steel
plates.
The mesh in the center section of our radiator core is fine because stones thrown by the
front tires often hit this area. On the other hand, the mesh of the right and left sections
is coarse because they are not hit by as many objects. This structure works to well
ventilate the radiators. This design provides high-level cooling performance for the
radiator and protects the radiator well at the same time.
This mesh design is a result of the expertise we obtained from our racing team’s participation
in the Suzuka 8 Hours Road Races more than 20 times.
In addition, various measures have been implemented to prevent core guards from
damaging radiators when they are installed onto the radiators.
It goes without saying that we recommend installing core guards onto a new motorcycle,
but we also recommend putting them on motorcycles that you already own to protect the radiators.
